Award-Winning Culinary Artist

Private Chef Ronald is an award-winning culinary artist from the Netherlands with a great passion for food. In 2014 he won the culinary competition in Mexico out of 35 chefs from Mexico and the Caribbean. He has cooked for Government delegations and even Queen Beatrix from Holland.

From a young age, Chef Ronald gained experience in international cuisine by working in various renowned restaurants in the Netherlands, including Michelin-starred establishments. He opened several concept restaurants such as a Mexican Taco restaurant in Aruba and an upscale Steakhouse in Curaçao.

Caribbean Twist

One of Ronald’s favorite dishes to cook is his tropical island ceviche. A must-taste is his 12-hour-smoked cowboy steak. Whatever menu he creates for you, Private Chef Ronald will make sure it is tastefully designed to meet your wishes and budget, and always with a Caribbean twist. He looks forward to cooking in your private kitchen and aims to make it the most relaxed and memorable dining experience in Aruba for you.

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of having Chef Ronald come to the house to prepare and serve us an incredible dinner poolside-we started with fresh Ceviche, surf and turf as the main course, followed by an incredible chocolate dessert with pistachio ponche. Ron is phenomenal! I met Ron a year ago when we hired him in Aruba to come cook at our airbnb. He did not disappoint. We enjoyed his personality and his cooking so much that we recently invited him into our home in NY to cook for 13 of us on Christmas Day. We figured this would be a long stretch bring it was Christmas, but he didn't hesitate at all. He goes above and beyond. We had some guests that were gluten and dairy free and he was more than willing to accommodate their needs as well as everyone's else's. I highly recommend him for an experience and meal you will never forget.

Just a fantastic end to our trip to Aruba, wonderful conversationalist, and more importantly absolutely wonderful food! He prepared a salmon and sauerkraut w/ champagne sauce that was so fresh and new to our group and it was amazing! He also prepared a number of other dishes that were the best we had on the island, and pretty much anywhere else. He figured out that it was my birthday and made a show of it.
